haha yea my computer can't run GW2 either. But its not a big deal for me because i love guild wars 1. How many games can you play 6+years and still enjoy it and have things to do? Yea not many

Guild wars guru has been my one stop for anything GW & now I am moving on to newer things, GWG will still be that detour that will bring a shining light on the way. I many even post something.

I will be starting up GW2 at release which will be 8am GMT ,perfect timing.

I'll be busy making sure my names are on my new guys.

I did a huge upgrade just to play GW2. Guess i won't be playing vanilla GW anymore.

But i will never, EVER delete my dear Rhona. I'm shure i will occasionally get the urge to be a dedicated healer again. And i just put too much love into this toon.

Hi, I'm new to the forum but not new to GW. I played it for probably 8 months or so around 2008? I came back to it about a month ago. I've been dying to play GW2 but you know, there's just something about GW1 that I love. I think its a shame that the game will be so empty of all the people that used to be playing. So, I'll be logging in to GW2 first chance I get with the 3-day prelaunch. But I'll still be playing GW1. I think some of the armor in GW1 is just way better than in GW2 (from the little that I've seen so far). I also love upgrading my heros armor and weapons and skills. Call me crazy but that's what I love.

i secretly wasn't gunna play it even though i talked like i was. BUT, since i got a free copy its kinda hard to say no :/ i just bought a new graphics card specifically for it. $140 card, but subtract the $80 for GW2 and imo, i got a Great deal on a new GPU And a great game.

But i will also still be playing gw1. i think i'll like it better with fewer people around.

GW2 almost all the way for me here. Not that I won't probably do something occasionally in GW1, but after 5 years of on and off play it's not like I haven't seen everything I want to, and there's so little still to do I actually care about. Got up the initiative this spring to get myself to "Ghostly Hero" for the HOM rewards and have just been spinning the wheels ever since.

Been in all of the BWEs and a few of the stress tests and I'm ready for the something new. Probably won't stay up to 3AM - getting old you know

- but will be up early tomorrow morning to begin the next generation of adventuring.

Staying put in GW1. I joined GW just prior to the servers shutting down on the last game I was playing. I will move to something new when I can no longer log on and play GW1.

Thanks for the many replies!

For those going to GW2, remember to make a ranger for your HoM rewards since some of these rewards are pets which you can't use if you are other classes.

For those staying in GW1, if you like playing with other humans in the ZaiShen quests, today may just be the last day to do this. Hopefully there would still be a big enough human player population for decent GW1 play after today though.

I still play with other humans...my hubby will not be playing gw2 so I have someone else to play with--no problems there.
And glad to see that others will also be sticking around to keep us die-hards company

I will still play GW1 have to many alts ect to leave it alone.

Just to-day did the circuit and did a few missions with pugs and ran Ruins of Morah (free of charge ) for guys who were still wishing the ZM.

So ill be hopping back and forth between 1 and 2.

My pc as yet runs gw2 np as often its gets updated with the AMD engine control center

You know, if prefer to play only GW1 then that's completely fine. The two games are very different from each other and everyone has different tastes. Myself personally I'll be playing both for a while.

However saying such silly things as claiming it's a "failed fake WoW experiment" only serves to make yourself look bad. Play whatever it is you enjoy, but there's no need to spread hate by badmouthing other products for no reason.

Anyways, I'll be playing GW2 during the 3-day headstart. I've enjoyed my time in GW1 but I can not stand vanquishing or cartography, which are the last 2 aspects of the game that I haven't done. My system name/tag in GW2 is Liberius.9025. Geez I hope we can change the tag sometime...
